News Briefs & Information

There are two open positions on the Tall Trees Board of Directors.  If you would like to
serve please let us know by sending an e-mail to
admin@talltreesofbarrington.org.

The last board meeting was held in January 2010 and the board met and voted to hold
dues steady for 2010.

The next board meeting will be by phone in May.  If you would like to attend send us an
email so we can have a head count and make sure we have an appropriate venue
if
there is enough interest.

Tall Trees is now green!   Newsletters will be e-mailed electronically and posted on the
web site.  This action will help reduce greenhouse emissions as well as save on paper,
printing and distribution costs.  It will however, greatly inconvenience a large number of
electrons from time to time.  If you have not signed up for electronic notices please click
the
contact us button above and register.  If you would like to volunteer to help with
newsletters or any other aspect please send us an email.

Do you have a news brief, calendar event or congratulatory message for a Tall Trees
resident?  If so send us an e-mail and we will post it here!

your message.

                                     Tall Trees Traditions

The Tall Trees road rally is a Barrington tradition going back to 1986.  Tall Trees
residents organize and compete in this event year for the coveted Road Rally trophy.
The road rally is a test of local knowledge.  Participants solve puzzles that lead them to
puzzles that eventually lead each team the a surprise location for dinner and drinks.
Bingo is another Tall Trees tradition that allows neighbors to gather together in warmth
of friendship and friendly competition to socialize and catch up on community events.
Bingo parties rotate from house to house and a good time is guaranteed for all.

The annual 4th of July parade is great opportunity for neighborhood Children to
participate in a community event and show off their Tall Trees pride.  We are looking for
a volunteer to organize this year's participation.
